Weatherization Assistance Program
|Springfield Partners for Community Action's Weatherization Assistance Program has been helping Hampden County families save money for more than 25 years. |
Last year, we weatherized the homes of 1,500 families. These homeowners and renters saved an average of $350 to $400 a year in energy expenses!
If your application is approved, Springfield Partners weatherization auditors will conduct an in-home energy inspection and provide a heating system analysis. This will determine which energy-saving measures are needed. Licensed and insured contractors perform the work and auditors make a final inspection.
Energy saving measures include:
- Weather-stripping for doors and windows
- Wall and attic insulation
- Caulking, to seal cracks
- Air sealing
