Housing CounselingAs a HUD-Certified Housing Counseling agency, Springfield Partners provides comprehensive housing counseling to hundreds of residents every year.
We offer:
- Education to first-time homebuyers
- Post-purchase counseling, to help people stay in their homes
- Predatory lending counseling
- Displacement and relocation assistance
Our Homebuyer Education classes are certified by the Mass Housing Partnership and the Citizens Housing and Planning Association (CHAPA).
These certifications mean that our clients may be eligible for special mortgage rates, second mortgages, and down payment assistance from specific banks.
Springfield Partners also offers workshops for first-time homebuyers on a rotating basis throughout the year.

First-Time Homebuyer Workshops in 2013 Spring 2013: April 27 & May 4 (Saturdays), from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Location: 721 State St., Second Floor, Springfield. Attendees must attend BOTH workshop sessions.

Eviction Clinic This is a partnership with Massachusetts Justice Project, Western Mass. Legal Services and Housing Court. Clinics are held weekly from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at 721 State Street, Second Floor.
Our eviction counselor provides education and information to tenants facing eviction, and helps prepare tenants for Housing Court hearings. The goal is to ensure tenants know, understand and exercise their rights.
Springfield Partners uses the court's process list to invite tenants to access Eviction Clinic services.
