HomeCorps Borrower Recovery InitiativeIn partnership with the Massachusetts Association for Community Action (MASSCAP) and the Attorney General's Office, we are offering HomeCorps Borrower Recovery Services to Hampden County homeowners currently at risk for foreclosure, or, who have lost their homes to foreclosure.
The primary goal of the HomeCorps Borrower Recovery Initiative (BRI) program is to prevent homelessness and facilitate an effective transition to alternative housing.
Springfield Partners is offering these services to qualifying homeowners:
- Loan modification assistance
- Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling
- Pre- and Post-Foreclosure Counseling and education
- Homelessness prevention assistance
- Relocation and housing search help
- Benefits advocacy
- Eviction Counseling
- Information and referral to legal assistance
- Referrals to other related services
- Financial assistance
- Crisis management referrals
Springfield Partners is one of 19 HomeCorps Borrower Recovery sites statewide working with homeowners to prevent homelessness and help borrowers recover from foreclosure and/or eviction.
This program is funded by MASSCAP through a settlement obtained by the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. Visit their website for more information.
Assistance is offered through referrals from the Attorney General's Office and on a walk-in basis.
