Curriculum
| | | | Pumpkin picking is a fun field trip! | At New Beginnings, we are committed to bringing the highest quality early childhood education and care to children and their families. We regularly update our curriculum to align with Department of Education mandates and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards by developing new and enriching programming for our families.
We use "Creative Curriculum" in each classroom. This curriculum provides teachers with planning tools to create integrated lesson plans and group children by developmental level. Teachers can select from hundreds of activities designed to meet the strengths and needs of each child.
Target Areas for the classrooms:
- Observation-based assessment that demonstrates progress
- Small group instruction within the classroom setting
- Regular communication between teachers and parents, designed to keep parents informed about the child's progress each day
- Variety of activities aimed at supporting learning concepts for individual age groups

Partnering with Parents
Forming a strong partnership with parents is one of our top priorities. We recognize that parents are their child's first teacher. Collaborating our efforts makes the child's first educational experiences positive ones.
Teachers can generate parent-friendly conference reports in both English and Spanish. Also, using a narrative description designed for parents, teachers can describe each child's current stage of social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development, and suggest likely next steps for the child.
