Program Availability During Covid-19

Important Updates regarding our program and building availability related to COVID-19

Governor Baker has declared that the we are in Phase 1 of the plan to reopen Massachusetts. This phase includes a “Safer at Home” Advisory and regulations for business which includes Springfield Partners to follow.

In accordance with these new regulations, Springfield Partners will remain CLOSED to the public until further notice with few exceptions.

We are still committed to helping the community, many of our services are now available virtually (phone calls and video conferences)! We can help, and you may not even have to leave the comfort of your home. Please call us at 413-263-6500! 

 

Seeking services from Springfield Partners, what you need to know:

  • Walk-in appointments will NOT be permitted for any program
  • To the extent possible, we will complete all services virtually (phone, email, video conference)
  • Springfield Partners has an internal plan in place which complies with the “Mandatory Safety Standards for the Workplace” which includes cleaning and sanitizing of frequently touched surfaces.

If Springfield Partners deems it necessary for you to enter the building you will:

  • Be given an appointment—please show up only at your scheduled time.
  • We ask that only the person receiving services (that is required to be on site) comes in for the appointment, please do not bring other family members, children, etc.
  • You will be screened (temperature check, health questionnaire) upon entering our facility.
  • You will be required to wear a face covering while inside the building (if you do not have one, we will provide one).
  • You will be required to follow social distancing protocols (standing 6 feet apart from others in the building)

 

 

The following Springfield Partners Services are suspended or have been modified:

All other services of Springfield Partners are available virtually, call us for details!

 

Early Learning Program (New Beginnings) --Closed until June 29, 2020 (this date may change) per order of the Governor. 

  • All subsidies (vouchers and contracts) will automatically be extended for a period of 6 months. This means, your subsidy will NOT end during this time. We will work with you to renew if needed once we reopen.
  • We are waiting for guidelines from the Department of Early Education and Care which will determine when we can reopen and in what capacity.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) – All in person appointments suspended until further notice.

  • The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Department of Revenue (DOR have announced a 90-day extension; 2019 tax returns will be due on July 15, 2020).
  • We are doing tax returns virtually, call 413-263-6500 x6501 to set up an appointment.

Transportation Services- Operating on a limited basis.

  • We are operating from 7:00-12:30 daily.
  • All riders are expected to wear a mask and will be subject to a health screening prior to utilizing the service.
  • Call 413-507-1122 to set up an appointment.

Weatherization –All services suspended until further notice.

  • Due to the current restrictions we cannot conduct in home audits at this time.
  • We are waiting for guidelines from our funders to determine when and how we can safely conduct audits and get back to business.
